Mary McClaran RN, BSN has 30 years of experience in the nursing field, including psychiatric/mental health care, emergency room, home health, and nursing education. She received her nursing diploma from Western Nebraska General Hospital in 1983 and Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Grand Canyon University in 2005.
At Strategic Mental Health, Mary has the opportunity to care for many adult patients with severe depression, anxiety or dementia, which gives her insights into the complex needs of these patients and their access to appropriate and affordable care. Mary’s duties are focused on patient education, care coordination, and case management.
Mary says, “The best part of my job is educating the patients. I like to work in partnership with the patients to promote a healthy lifestyle using effective coping skills and understanding their medications in order to have the best possible outcome.” She is particularly interested in sleep disorders and mood disorders.
